Since the early days of Craigslist and Backpage, the use of the internet to advertise and sell victims of human trafficking has only increased.

Since March of this year, there has been a disturbingly large surge in posts or social activity in child sex abuse forums on the internet. At the end of April, @RAINN reported a 22% increase in monthly calls to their National Sexual Assault Hotline from people under the age 18.

If you or a loved one see signs of grooming surrounding yourself or a child who's unaware of the situation, talk to them. Investigate the situation and report suspicious activity from potentially harmful adults. Call 1 (800) 373-7888 or text "BeFree" to 233733.

In Kentucky, almost all rescued victims of human trafficking testify that they were rescued with the help of tips from neighbors and thoughtful strangers.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atl International Airport is a massive avenue for traffickers, followed by Interstate-75.
