buckle up, twitter because here's a 🧵🧵🧵 you won't want to miss about some of the absolutely incredible, hardworking #teamjoe staffers i've had the opportunity to work with for the last year and a half.

hire them. venmo them. share their stories. they made @joebiden president.
on the states side in the primary, we brought @BenC00 on to run our iowa digital program. ben hit the ground running & left it all on the field. in the general, he organized creatives from across the country to volunteer for our campaign. no job was ever too big or too small.
@EishaMisra was our nh digital director in the primary. she's the hardest working person i've ever had the privilege to work with. eisha hustled to tell the story of every supporter in the granite state brayden!!) & what a biden presidency would mean to them. more on eisha later
we knew nevada would be critical for us in the primary, so we brought on @_kaylakristina_ to run the show. kayla wasn't a campaign person, but she hustled to learn the ropes & brought a new perspective to the campaign. in the general, kayla went on to win maine for joe.
as joe biden always says, south carolina brung us to the dance. @itsagreenthingg joined as our primary sc digital director & worked across departments to organize and mobilize folks from every corner of the state. (it worked!!!)
at hq, we were tasked with a big job: hold down the fort and organize in super tuesday and beyond states. we had a small but mighty team on the national distributed side that kept their heads down and powered through, organizing folks from every corner of the country.
. @sophia_rubio1 was our distributed team's rock in the primary. it was just the 2 of us for a bit—with some really huge goals. (we realized one day we'd need to do 55+ hours of 1:1s a week) she stepped up to the plate every time & is a big reason we were able to stay in the race.
we brought on @victorrivera227 in december! victor hustled and organized every day with heart. his willingness to open up and share his personal story about why this election & our candidate mattered to him is why we won big on super tuesday. he mastered this in the general!
. @ghderfner joined the primary distributed team next! graham was our team's happy warrior. he is an incredible organizer who has a really unique ability to connect with literally everybody. and all of those national distributed calls we made in the general? that's thanks to him.
after iowa, @niccvig joined our hq distributed team. nicola is the epitome of a digital organizer. he used the skills he learned as an organizer in iowa & combined them with his digital background to engage with folks from all across the country and organize them for our campaign
. @echevy51 rounded out our team. after fighting the good fight in new hampshire, he came onboard to help us navigate the day-to-day of the distributed team (which literally changed sometimes hourly!). he was instrumental in our ability to scale!
once we won, the team brought on amazing folks from every primary campaign to help build out our digital organizing program. we had *17* battleground states and big dreams of building out a program that truly integrated organizing & the internet in a way we'd never seen before.
i stole @eishamisra immediately to become our desk for the northeast states. and true to form, eisha stayed up all night to study the program we were working to build. she dedicated every second of her day to make sure her states succeeded—and they did!!
. @Jaime_alf gave me a run for my money with the level of sass he brought to the team. he worked tirelessly, taking on additional states even, to make sure we competed in the south. team yeehaw loves their pod dad—and so do we (even @andyoare)!
we knew we'd need to win back the midwest if we were going to elect joe, so we brought in the big guns: @andyoare. andy brought the experience needed to win back these states & was an incredible mentor to the women who carried these programs on their backs. more on them soon!
during the markey primary, i'd snoop & see what @EmmaYourFriend was stirring up. i was so happy she joined us as the west digital organizing desk. emma pushed us all to think outside of the box & incorporate innovative tactics into our programs. she made us all better organizers.
and of course, our state digital organizing teams won it all for us.

i want to be super clear: this was a close election. we won by a field margin.

the programs that state digi org teams executed pushed us over the finish line. there is SO much we can learn from them.
our az team was led by michael ramirez. the team was focused on running an innovative relational program that brought in arizonans from every part of the state. they mobilized folks to talk to their friends & family—and reach people in a way our party has only ever talked about.
. @karla_galvan led our colorado team. this team was *always* ahead of the curve in everything they did. colorado mails all registered voters a ballot—and this team ran a state of the art program that chased every 👏 single 👏 ballot 👏
there aren't enough characters in the world to describe the program @miranda_barrie & her team ran in florida. they empowered countless volunteers & worked to ensure their program was inclusive & represented their state. they organized in new places. they left it all on the field
. @StaciaYim ran our georgia program. volunteering is sometimes uncomfortable, but stacia & her team worked to ensure we were doing everything in our power to welcome new people into the program.

because of their work they proved georgia is & forever will be a battleground state!
in iowa, @alli__peters & nick meier were our dynamic duo. together, their team told the story of our campaign & quickly ramped to become one of our largest in-state distributed programs. iowa democrats will benefit from the infrastructure they built for years to come.
. @jewelldporter had already hit the ground running in michigan by the time we first talked to her. she & her team of killers ran a program that models what good department coordination looks like. they were spicy—and motivated *lots* of volunteers to build back the blue wall.
as @emilyfrost_ knows, minnesota comes next in the alphabet! emily & her team were down to do whatever it took to win. they built an adaptive program that was able to deliver 10 electoral votes. democrats can rest easy knowing mn is still blue. we have emily & her team to thank.
if you're like me, you were screaming at the top of your lungs when we won ne-02 on election night. the only one who could pull this off was @potterashton. ashton delivered us the district & set the stage for nebraska democrats to win for years to come.
simply put, @emmavkraus is a joy to work with. her knowledge of the nevada & dedication to the state & its' volunteers was critical to our success. nevada voted differently this year—and it was up to emma & her team to educate & turn out our voters. they stepped up & then some.
. @roycejkim is an amazing organizer & i was so excited when we convinced him to lead our team in nh. nh voters were fatigued. they had just been through a long primary. winning required a new enthusiasm & excitement that only royce & his team could bring. they did it—and well.
. @alexisheebz pushed herself & the nc team beyond their comfort zone. they stood up one of our most robust in-state distributed programs, while also finding creative ways to engage online communities across the state. nc crafted a new kind of blueprint for digi org programs.
. @Aneese4Mike led our digi org team in O-H-I-O. she is the definition of a team player. she worked tirelessly with our org team to implement our tools & mobilize online communities. this program put up some crazy numbers. you can expect a lot from this team for years to come!
democrats across the country should know @NandiOCee. she & her team delivered @joebiden pennsylvania & the presidency. they led with joy—and it was contagious. they defied even our highest hopes for this program & the outcome speaks for itself.
when we finally do turn texas blue, it will be because of the hard work & infrastructure that @Bethanie_10 built. her program turned out countless texas democrats who had been written off in the past. the team empowered their volunteers for the work ahead.
in virginia, @doranea2 brought an organizing heart to everything we did. this team set the standard for our volunteer leaders program. virginia is an organizing powerhouse & this program harnessed that energy in a way that the commonwealth has never seen before.
wisco's program was always going to have a special place in my heart—and i was happy to pass the torch to @Heebs25. the team worked with their heads down & cranked out impressive numbers & innovative ideas. they persuaded voters who had felt like we left them behind—and won.
this win wouldn't exist without this group of people. so when the history books are written about this campaign, remember this team. they changed the course of the world!
