Part of a litmus test from @datasociety on whether to report on objectively false claims: "Determine if the risk of entrenching/rewarding the falsehood in some stories is worth dislodging the falsehood in others." So much of media still needs to figure this out.
I'd argue the best way to cover Trump's anti-democratic claims is with very specific & consistently added context. The NYT homepage right now does a decent job at pointing out contradictions from McConnell and others, but nowhere does it explicitly say Trump's claims are false.
