I’ve read a lot of accounts promoting $VGT but there is a lot of dead weight there. $CSCO and $INTC with no exposure to $TSLA or $AMZN. If you are looking for growth there is a better strategy.

The allocation you are planning for $VGT I recommend putting 50% in $VUG, 30% in $VOT and 20% in $VBK. This will give you exposure only to growth stocks along with mid and small cap stocks. Smaller companies often have more growth ahead.
$VUG (Large Cap Growth) has all the best holdings of $VGT like $AAPL and $MSFT plus $AMZN and $TSLA https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/VUG/holdings?p=VUG&.tsrc=fin-srch
$VOT (Mid Cap Growth) has holdings of $DOCU, $TWLO and $IDXX https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/VOT/holdings?p=VOT&.tsrc=fin-srch
$VBK (Small Cap Growth) has holdings of $ETSY and $HUBS https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/VBK/holdings?p=VBK&.tsrc=fin-srch
If you don’t have do not have a couple grand for my suggested allocation and want to dollar cost average use @M1_Finance. For $25 you can buy all 3!
