Time for some Dolph appreciation. let me put you on to the insane run he had in 2017. Probably the strongest single year of any trap artist besides future and thug. A top 10 trap artist and one of the most successful independent artists in the hip hop industry.

Adolph Thornton Jr., better known as Young Dolph was raised in the trenches of South Memphis. He started his rap career in 2008 when his grandmother passed away.
Becoming a successful independent artist is super hard in a industry controlled by billion dollar labels. Dolph has turned down many million dollar deals to pursue becoming a self made millionaire in which he did and now has his own label called Paper Route Empire.
2017 was one of the best years for trap music hands down. Dolph had his best year in the most competitive year for trap music. With all the great albums that dropped that year, dolph comes out on top for me when it comes to output and quality.
Young Dolph would start the year strong with his third commercial mixtape released on February 2nd labeled Gelato. Flawless trap mixtape and top 5 in Dolphs huge Disco. 9/10 imo. Stand out tracks include: Meech and on the river.
