Every time I log into my Clips4Sale store I'm reminded it would be super doable for P*rnhub and other tube sites to use this same technology to tackle piracy or at least CSAM and revenge/rape videos but unlike C4S their profit incentive is to keep them up.
P*rnhub is nothing like Backpage. The business model of the latter was that they made money when sex workers made money. The business model of the former is theft, and they don't give a fuck what they steal as long as it's profitable. Absolutely fuck them right to hell.
If sex workers don't partner with survivors of CSAM + revenge/rape videos against tube sites, SWERF orgs will. If we don't go after these sites-- because of our common interest in ending piracy and bc supporting survivors is always the right thing to do-- SWERFy legislation will.
I know some of y'all make money from them now because they've forced you into a sort of hostage situation where you can either make money off of their theft of your content or just let it continue to be stolen but we absolutely could + should fight them, not partner w them.
Idk what that kind of mass action would look like-- some sort of boycott?-- but they need to get their fucking shit together or get destroyed and the only question is are we going to let SWERF orgs take our actual profitable porn sites with them or will we lead the charge?
Obviously if we do some sort of boycott the workers who do make money from their affiliate profiles on there would need financial support. This would have to be coordinated AND funded. It would be a huge undertaking. But the alternative is fucking Ex*dusCry.
The enemy of my enemy is also, often, my enemy. This isn't WWII. PH isn't Russia. This is carceral capitalism and all companies are exploiting our labor (I'll be fucked before I let SWERFs have the word 'exploitation'). Workers don't ally with companies OR feminist cops.
