Smartphones give us access to art, but remove the majesty of scale.

Films like Insterstellar, murals like the Sistine Chapel, statues like the Lincoln Memorial, and paintings like George Washington Crossing the Delaware River can never be replicated with a smartphone.
Nature is the same way.

No smartphone can recreate the spires of the Dolomites, the scale of the Grand Canyon, or the grandeur of Yosemite National Park.
I’m reminded of the scene from Goodwill Hunting where Robin Williams describes the difference between book learning and real-world learning to Matt Damon.
