Let's dive in.👇
1. You maintain muscle and bone mass.

With strength training we gain muscle, strengthen bones, improve joint strength and bone density.

This is super important because as we age, without adequate resistance training we lose bone density and muscle mass (Use it or lose it).
2. It can help you lose weight.

Strength training can boost our resting metabolism long after we have trained.

This does not mean we should skip cardio, but regardless it will help you manage and or lose weight as its metabolically demanding.
3. It can help in reducing blood pressure and improve cardiovascular function.

It can improve the function of HDL (The good cholesterol in the body) and it improves cardiovascular function like cardiovascular exercise.
4. It may help in improving mental health.

Resistance training can provide a controlled environment in which you may overcome obstacles, creating an improved resiliency.

When we exercise with weights our bodies release endorphins like the ones released when we run.
5. It will help you gain confidence.

There’s no better feeling than clothing fitting right, you can fill out the sleeves in a T-shirt, shoulders are giving you that V-taper.

Setting new personal bests in the gym really helps boosts your self esteem and confidence.
6. Helps you develop and maintain strength.

If you've ever strength trained, you know the benefits that arise outside of the gym.

You can carry all the groceries at once, clear 3 steps in one jump or beat uncle Jeff in an arm wrestle haha.
7. Boosts overall longevity.

That's right, you'll live longer and better.

Who doesn't want that?

Logically a healthy body composition of lean mass over fat mass will lead to less disease and complications throughout life.
