I mean, when people ask me "How did you come to these weird beliefs you have?" It's because I always believe in things that are falsifiable.

So I always have specific conditions of "If X happens, that means my beliefs are wrong and I have to change them".
And I used to be a pretty normal guy who believed in liberal democracy and all that stuff and then I kept seeing things which, if those beliefs were true, couldn't be happening.
And people go "What are those?" And I tell them about really pretty mundane shit like all the slippery slopes and maliciously applied double standards that people just take for granted now and they go "Huh, how come that changed your mind?"
Because to them, that's not convincing, even though they're all blatant contradictions of liberal democratic principles, simply because they are not in an emotional state where they care at all about what's true.
And I'm just increasingly coming to the unpleasant realisation of just how full the world is of people who literally don't care what is true, how things actually work and are incapable of changing their beliefs about anything that is important.
