There was a time PCO was talking to gospel ministers (singers, rappers, instrumentalists etc) and he stressed the importance of building your Spirit strong ESPECIALLY as a music minister.
Let me tell you why this is key

I’m seeing this is increasingly important.
Gospel artists have a ministry, however, they may not necessarily be “Spiritual leaders” or Evangelists etc. Sorry, but the office of the musician isn’t included in the Fivefold Ministry

Now, don’t get me wrong, everyone has their place & the gift they were given has the potential to reach millions and lead them to Christ.
But I think the problem begins when you begin to look at some of these ministers as your Pastor; everything they say is deemed scripture.

Many times, they’re actually still learning and growing (as we all are). They themselves will tell you “I’m also a brother/sister like you”.

They blew up via grace & a God-given gift, but grew to begin speaking against the church or publicly shaming other Christians? Siding with the world?
Making bold statements that aren’t backed with scripture?
Remind you of a certain someone?

Be inspired, yes.
Learn, of course!
But also take some things said with a grain of salt (or rather, fact check with the Word).
And also extend grace to them when they make mistakes

And let’s not get into the few that don’t have a personal ministry of soul winning or a private prayer life.
It’s easy to think that because you step out and people are consumed by the presence of God, then you must be doing everything right.

Anyway, as @TGKDre said, “Stop putting people on a pedestal they never asked to be on”
And be careful who you follow.

Oh and I’m a music minister too.
So, no shade. Truly
