Great thread by Dr. Kaur. Lockdowns kill. I’m going to start with the obvious that human intervention has done nothing more than delay the inevitable. Thread below 1/n https://twitter.com/dockaurG/status/1324862575021010948
Can anyone find a correlation below between the stringency of lockdowns and case growth? Don’t spend too much time, it’s not there. 2/n
So not only do they not help, but lockdowns are literally causing more death. Non-C19 excess deaths catching up to C19 deaths across age groups. C19 will slow, but excess deaths won’t. We are looking at far more death and life years lost due to lockdowns than by the virus. 3/n
Another way to put this is that if you’re under 45, non-C19 excess deaths caused by lockdown are exceeding C19 deaths in that age group. Great thread below: 4/n https://twitter.com/Humble_Analysis/status/1315765779854323712
I’ve been beating this drum for 5 months that we’re so obsessively focused on C19 deaths, without context, that we can’t seem to see the extensive damage that the lockdowns are causing from missed treatments/screenings, vaccinations/inoculations etc 5/n
No one does it better than the @EthicalSkeptic. Some of his charts are dense, but the point is well taken. And he’s been predicting an avalanche of excess deaths for months. 6/n https://twitter.com/EthicalSkeptic/status/1325632863639900166
2-3M kids are saved each year in developing countries from vaccines. TB deaths will increase A LOT. Through the summer, there was a 40% drop in emergency room visits from stroke/heart attack patients...that's 1.6M people, so 40% of that is SIGNIFICANT. 7/n
Is 150 million a lot? Because that’s how many CHILDREN in developing countries will be pushed into poverty due to food and medical supply chain disruptions in developed countries. 8/n

And that’s just children. The death that will befall these developing countries because of OUR misguided policies is staggering. We’re talking millions. This number will undoubtedly exceed worldwide C19 deaths over the next few years. 9/n https://twitter.com/justin_hart/status/1313885356098383872
This is dated by a few months, but this lockdown isn’t affecting white collar workers. This is affecting the disadvantaged at a completely disproportionate level. 10/n
To the crowd that doesn’t believe that there’s a correlation between employment/income and health, I suggest you pull your head out of the sand. This is from the UK but plays for all developed countries. 11/n http://www.poverty.org.uk/premature-death-ni/
The correlation between per-capita GDP and life expectancy is staggering: 12/n https://twitter.com/BallouxFrancois/status/1238837173111140352
And in case it’s gotten lost over the past couple of months, here are the mortality rates for the virus we’re hiding from and destroying lives for (note that these rates are 3 months old, our treatment has improved more since: 13/n
If you’re healthy and under 70, you’re safe. If you’re healthy and over 70, you’re safe. I don’t want to be callous, but this has gone unchecked for too long – C19 affects very old and/or very sick people. Great chart from Canada: 14/n https://twitter.com/Milhouse_Van_Ho/status/1324926407647092737
There’s real world data out there. Those dying of the virus aren’t the young and healthy, it isn’t kids or young healthy adults. 4 of 5 patients in intensive care are overweight to morbidly obese: 15/n https://twitter.com/AlistairHaimes/status/1325443177973735426
Again, not to sound callous, but the “Dry Tinder” theory where C19 has attacked the very vulnerable has validity. We see it in the US after 3-4 years of being under the excess mortality threshold (this is an accomplishment). 16/n
Ivor Cummins @FatEmporer points out that it’s similar in Sweden. The difference? Sweden won’t see near the amount of non-C19 excess deaths of countries that locked down. 17/n https://twitter.com/FatEmperor/status/1325844036167602176
So all of the talking heads and DC who are spewing the “just hang in, we’re all in this together” BS, I will never listen to again when they get on their soap boxes and scream for equality. The past 8 months have done more damage to the disadvantaged than policy can fix. 18/n
I’ll end with this and I’ll die on this hill. Until someone explains to me why Sweden did this wrong with no masks, no lockdowns, no school closures, just common sense measures, then I’ll forever hold the folks in MSM and government accountable for these atrocities. 19/fin
