i LOVE listening to costume designers talk about their work. they really think about everything. no bracelet, no little patent leather belt, no color, escapes their vision and everything has a reason. down to the last shoelace.
if you are watching a movie or a show and think: wait, does that costume choice mean something? 99% of the time the answer is yes. costume designers obsessively think through palettes and cuts and there is likely a purpose to everything you are looking at.
