I respectfully disagree with Rep. Clyburn as it relates to why Jamie Harrison lost his race against Lindsay Graham. In my opinion, it had nothing to do with defunding the police, which Harrison never did really endorse, as far as I know
The issue of defunding the police, that most people who advocate it are referring to, is mainly the redirection of much of their funding to other necessary areas such as mental health, which is a much needed area that law enforcement is woefully inadequately equipped to deal with
If the police brutalized and murdered White people the way they do Black people, not only would White people AND White politicians decry to defund the police, they would move expeditiously towards totally ERADICATING the police!!! No if, ands or buts about it!!!
In my opinion, if there is anyone in America who disagree with how I have just articulated the issue of defunding the police, then they have the problem, not those of us who are desperately seeking ways to end police brutality and murder of Black people!!!
Let’s be absolutely clear. The subject of defunding or re-directing police funds is acutely relevant to Black people in America, being that we are constantly bombarded with racist, rogue police arrogantly and brazenly brutalizing and murdering Black people
Black people not wanting 2 be brutalized and murdered by the police has no bearing whatsoever on the quality of life as it relates 2 White people or anyone else. The right 2 live is not just a human right, but more importantly, it is a divine right, bestowed by the Divine Creator
