How often do you sign your name on a peer review? I'm really hesitant to sign my name as an ECR. Although, I think sometimes maybe it would be beneficial to authors if I signed the review, for example if I offer suggestions for improvement of an analysis. #AcademicChatter

I'm mostly hesitant because people can get so angry about reviews, and although I try to be reasonable, constructive, and helpful, I don't want to be put down or labelled as a "bad reviewer".

I guess a followup tweet would be: have you ever found it helpful to have a signed review? For example, have you ever reached out afterwards to a reviewer who signed to get more feedback/clarification/help? So far the signed reviews I have received didn’t require followup
