its “native american heritage month only for u.s tribes” then its “OUR potatoes” or “when columbus discovered US” or “u.s and canada only”. l o l.

what yall not gonna do: is ignore native americans of mexico central america south america and the caribbean and then talk about colombus. Columbus landed in the caribbean not the u.s. he encountered people you would say “not in the united states”. be consistent.
“our potatoes our maize” na. Maize is mexican, not from the united states. potatoes are andean. again not from the united states. i dont wanna hear from ppl who say “us and we” when its about our things but “MINE and ONLY U.s” when its anout yall.

those of yall that include us always, this post isnt anout yall. but certain big profiles love saying “our” when 6 days ago they were sayig “hmm heres a difference between native americans and indigenous” when referring to caribbean communities.
is “ours” and “us natives” when its convenient but when a Black Caribbean person talks about Taino and Awarak being celebrated on native heritage months its “im so tired”. l o l. (i censored the other person as me and them talked and they were understanding of our pov)
its so interesting thi that the line of inclusion is the global north and the line to not include just happens to be the global south.
