QueryTracker is one of the places we recommend authors use to research agents. Pretty much every agent is automatically added and users can comment on their profiles about experiences. If an agent’s profile is removed, that’s shady. It’s a shame that vital info is now deleted.
AbsoluteWrite is the other recommended resource that works similarly but agents/agencies are not listed automatically the way they are in QT (so again, the deletion is shady). Users need to start a thread on a specific person/company and then others can add to it over time.
Just remember, the absence of information does not mean anything GOOD. If there SHOULD be a QT profile, ask yourself why it would be deleted—what is being hidden? When in doubt, email Victoria Strauss at [email protected] to find out about specific agents/agencies.
Last thing re QT: definitely sign up for an account. It’s free, and it gives you access to ALL comments, not just the most recent. So it’s easy to have negative comments buried.
