The Instagram Student Section and IGTV Playmakers have been the most rewarding programs I've ever worked on.

This year to take them to the next level we have teamed up with NFL to bring new opportunities and more exposure to young sports social creatives https://www.si.com/nfl/2020/11/06/nfl-generation-z-fans-social-instagram
First, we revamped the Student Section.

Originally we launched this program in '16 to help college partners build a strategy around Stories. Now we're focused on Reels.

Each week students create on a Reel based on a challenge from IG + NFL. NFL features the best on @NFL IG.
This allowed students an opportunity to create amazing Reels that do not need to be behind the scenes content. This was a big consideration for us in this new COVID world.

It also allows students to get super creative and showcase the lighter side of school traditions.
Here are some great Student Section Reels:

Second, we've revamped the IGTV Playmakers program.

Instead of creating bespoke IGTV series from scratch, we are working with the NFL to provide archive content of school alumni so current students can showcase to their fans what stars of the past are doing in the league today.
We've deemed this the IGTV Playmakers Editors Cut...and it's giving a different subset of young creatives and opportunity to showcase their video editing chops.

We're also bringing in the best in the industry to host masterclasses for these students. It's been a ton of fun.
Here are a few examples of the work we've seen already on IGTV from the Playmakers:
