I believe stories can inspire and spark goodness. Stories can help cultivate empathy. Having imagination for what could be is vital. I love stories.
Many people I deeply love have become captivated by conspiracies and dangerously untrue stories. They’ve become cynical and aggressive.
I don’t recognize them.
I don’t recognize them.
As a storyteller my thinking was:
“We just need to tell better stories”
I’m forever hopeful and very much believe that true stories win in the end, but ... I’ve grown discouraged. Very discouraged.
Can any little stories I create or share be of any help?

Here’s where I’ve landed:
Stories matter.
The stories we create together matter most of all.
Stories matter.
The stories we create together matter most of all.
Maybe it’s not better stories they’re starving for, but better relationships.
In these messy relationships we can find the true story together. The story revealing that we are tangled together in love. The story revealing that our intersecting lives can weave something wonderful. Better relationships creating the best of stories.
Sharing this tiny ramble in case it’s helpful to anyone else. The divides seem insurmountable and it is easy to feel insignificant.
May we go forward in love together. May courage + compassion fill each moment. May the stories we live overwhelm all that separates us from love.

All this is easier tweeted than done.
I can’t do it alone.
You can’t do it alone.
This is a story we must write together.
