Chelsea heading into the international break:

• Most goals in the PL (20)
• 4th best xG created (13.36)
• 2nd most passes (5068)
• Most set-piece goals (6)
• Joint 2nd-least goals conceded (10)
• Lowest xG conceded (7.93)

Frank Lampard's Blue Army is taking shape.
If we had signed Mendy early I have no doubts that we would have collected maximum points from the Southampton and West Brom games. We could have competed against Liverpool too.

Not having a GK for the first few games has cost us quite a few points.
In terms of the positives, we look very well balanced at both ends. Lampard has always been a good defensive coach and now that he has a good GK, it is easy to see the rewards flowing.

What we need now is good injury luck. That could make or break our season.
Last season, we had to commit several players forward in order to make up for the lack of individual quality. This naturally led to structural imbalances at times.

With better attackers, we don't need to attack with as many players, leading to better balance.
Before certain people try to be smart and start shouting "he signed players", let me point out that we were putting very good metrics last season too.

We're now a team with a lot of individual quality but at the heart of it all is some superb coaching.
