We need to abolish the idea that there should be a "Cost" of living.

Living should be free:

Universal Food Stamps and Clothing Credits
Free Public Housing Option
Medicare for All
Free Daycare through Post-Grad
Free Water, Energy, Telecoms
Free Public Transit
$600/18hr week FJG
Universal Food Stamps and Clothing Credits:
Guaranteed $100/wk per person in the household for groceries, free lunches at schools and workplaces.

Credit for free seasonally-appropriate clothing. Probably locally-made and a full wardrobe.
Free Public Housing Option:

If you don't have a home, you can move into free public housing.

The dimensions are determined by available space - it's the only thing actually scarce in this case.

Furnished and unfurnished options. Free furniture at least on par with IKEA.
Medicare for All:
The federal government funds ALL healthcare ENTIRELY.

No new taxes are necessary to fund it, because taxes don't fund federal programs. #LearnMMT

No premiums, no copays, no deductibles, no cost to prescription drugs, none of that.

Includes mental health.
Free Daycare through Postgrad:

All levels of childcare and education are federally-funded and free.

If you need daycare for your kids, it's free.

Education from pre-K through Post-grad is free.

Schools/daycare provide free meals. Campus dorms are free.
Free Water, Energy, Telecoms:
Water and Energy free to sustainable usage.

Telecoms: No data/speed limits. Free smartphone, tablet or laptop, and PC, whatever quality/speed is most sustainable to produce.
Free Public Transit:

Part of Federal Job Guarantee is to expand rail to connect every major population center in the country, then charge users nothing to use it.

All other public transit becomes free too, both in the interim and in perpetuity.
So we need more jobs and more leisure.

$600/week isn't that bad once all of your basic needs are covered as described above. It's basically all luxury money at that point.

Working 18 hours instead of 40+ is good for sustainability and health.

Maths out to about $33/hr too.
Thing with the FJG is that it considers pretty much anything and everything that can be considered useful or valued by people work worthy of pay.

Stay at home parenting, caring for disabled family, artistry, etc.

Capital is irrelevant. It's all valuable work.
