What Philly has taught us:
- you can win the league with homegrowns
- the most sustainable path to club success is through a quality youth academy
- building a youth development system takes years and typically more than a decade

Philly is a model club for youth development https://twitter.com/philaunion/status/1325609588343889921
Red Bull fans. What your club has done with homegrowns is great. But what you did in 2018 only using 2 young HG’s (Etienne and Adams) does not equal the success of Philly. Stop saying Sean Davis and Alex Muyl who spent 4 years in college counts, it doesn’t
Also what Philly has done is build a pipeline superior to Red Bulls that extends all the way to their u12’s. This matters too. Red Bulls academy at one point were the top dogs in MLS, you are no longer able to make that claim
Also I have seen Red Bull’s fans point out 2013 and 2015 when they won the supporters shield where the only academy players who didn’t spend 4 years in college were Armando Moreno (only played two games for the first team) and Matt Miazga (played once in 2013)
