Nationally, the party discourages primaries. Locally, the party discourages primaries. Instead of investment in modern digital infrastructure, honing campaign skills & ideas, prioritizing door knocking, the Dem Party at all levels defaults to keeping incumbents in power.

Their base is not the enemy. in an email, the BK Dem Party leadership refers to plaintiffs in the lawsuit who want to have the meeting as "dissidents" who are "motivated by their own purely partisan reasons." is this how we engage in understanding, good faith discourse of ideas?

The stakes are too high. In order to have the best policy & the best people in powerful roles, we MUST have the best politics. Developing our people talent, encouraging community leaders to run, giving them the tools to succeed by investing in modern strategies, door knocking

Stifling the energy of our grassroots & discouraging participation is a quick road to cont'd disappointing Dem elections. NY & Nat'l politics depend on vibrant leadership & healthy ideas pipeline. It can & should start in the BK Democratic Party. We've got the talent & energy.
