Now that America is saved and I've pretty much glutted myself on Trumpkin salt, it's time for me to fulfill MY dream.

Here is my thread where I'll review different brands and types of instant noodles:
Nissin chicken flavor. The classic 50 cent meal. No preparation other than boiling water necessary, and it tastes good whether the noodles are still firm or softened to a gelatinous clump. The standard that any cup ramen needs to meet, and hopefully surpass.
⭐⭐
Tapatío chicken flavor. Cultural appropriation never tasted so good! Light on garnish, but the spicy chicken flavoring offers a decent kick. Not especially better than the styrofoam cup, but a nice change of pace.
⭐⭐⭐
Goku-uma hot flavor ramen. Exactly what it says on the package. "Plain, but spicy" describes this stuff perfectly. The broth was perfectly adequate, and the spiciness was milder than you often see from the hot soups.
⭐⭐
Myojo... well there's a lot of wording there, so let's just say Myojo yakisoba. Top-of-the-line stuff, this pack comes with *four* ingredient pouches and a drainage corner. The result is as divine as it is convenient. A must-try instant tray 🤤
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Nissin Chow Mein: Chicken flavor. Gotta say I might have dug into this with expectations a little high. Soggy noodles with okay flavoring but it didn't taste much like chicken. Also the instructions noted two packets, but I only found one. Suspicious!
⭐⭐
Nissin Stir Fry: Korean BBQ flavor. I try to embrace the positive with my noodles but sometimes there just isn't much to say. Korean BBQ evokes thoughts of a feast of explosive flavor, and this was blander than the styrofoam fare. More salt, maybe?
⭐
Nissin Souper Meal, picante shrimp flavor. Nissin has a dizzying variety of soup cups, and this is part of what I call it's "white guy ramen lover" line. Just the right amount of heat in the broth, a good serving size, and better-than average vegetable assortment.
⭐⭐⭐
Unif spicy beef ramen. A random smaller-name brand I picked up in the Asian supermarket. VERY spicy, with and unusually subtle beef flavor. Not really a good thing; I expect beef flavoring to make a strong showing in the broth, and this fell short.
⭐⭐
Nissin sesame oil flavor ramen. Now we're getting somewhere! A large bowl bearing high-quality noodles and three ingredient packet, this is the premium (instant) ramen meal! The taste of roasted sesame is delicate, but excellent. Magnificent purchase.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Dah Wei Wang garlic pork noodles. Not gonna lie, I had high hopes for this one, and I might have eaten it wrong. It has this flavor packet (sauce? oil? it didn't say) and I mixed it in but when I ate the noodles the flavor goop had all sunk to the bottom. Still okay.
⭐⭐
Nongshim savory *lobster* ramen! From the upscale flavor type to the disposable plastic bowl, this dinner item just oozes "upper-class gamer who doesn't want to go out during a pandemic!" Just a little spicy, with bits of fish-like stuff that doesn't taste like lobster.
⭐⭐⭐
Nissin black pepper crab ramen cup. Another high-class, gourmet-sounding flavor mix, this instant ramen breaks the trend of not really tasting like it's purported flavor by tasting VERY much like black pepper (not so much crab). Perfect for those who like salty &spicy.
⭐⭐⭐
Nissin black garlic oil tonkotsu ramen. Perhaps the best ramen bowl I've ever encountered, this luxurious meal features a fantastic pork broth and exquisite black garlic oil packet that makes this bowl everything you can ask for. The peak of ramen technology.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
MAMA brand Phô, on the recommendation of @ChaosStrategery. I'm not a big fuh guy despite really liking noodle dishes in general. The rice noodles just seem inferior to me. But this had a delectable chicken broth with excellent tender noodles. High quality!
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Nissin hot & spicy shrimp ramen. Like it says on the top, this bowl comes with a packet of chili sauce, and UNLIKE what it says on the top, it's kick is a tad more than one chili out of three. Still, pretty good flavor, plus it has shrimp! Shrimp is tasty.
⭐⭐⭐
Maruchan spicy chicken miso ramen. This one beat expectations, as I'm not a huge fan of the miso broths. It was rather tasty and savory, but the "spicy" seems to have been adjusted for western consumers; not nearly as much heat as several others featured here.
⭐⭐⭐
Nissin chicken ramen. The "noodle chef with a clown nose" line of bowls from Nissin have held up very well so far, so I decided to try their more conventional fare. Like the other flavors it contains an oil packet, and like the other flavors it makes all the difference.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Branching out a bit and cooking up some Nongshim *premium* udon! Unlike ramen, udon noodles are thick and slippery, and to keep them that way they need their own vacuum-sealed pack with moisture inside. Decent broth, but very light and slightly sweet.
⭐⭐⭐
Folks,,,
Please believe when I say that I do NOT reflexively dislike or distrust vegan food. I'm more suspicious of the "organic" label, but it won't stop me from *trying* something. But Dr. McDougall's vegan miso ramen was simply putrid. I could not finish it. The broth was 1/2
weak and awful-tasting, the noodles were gummy (and there weren't many of them!) and the other ingredients were tasteless. I had to cleanse my mouth with a Nissin classic chicken cup afterward. It is with great regret that I must award this ramen ZERO stars. Avoid this brand. 2/2
Nissin teriyaki chicken chow mein. I've had very good things to say about Nissin's ramen cups, and maybe it's evidence of over-specialization that their chow mein is so consistently mediocre. Somewhat sweet, but somehow still very bland, I can't recommend this tray.
⭐
Also, like the last chow mein entry, the instructions clearly reference a second ingredient packet that isn't included in the packaging! Did they cut half the flavor to save costs? wtf guys?!
Nongshim spicy chicken ramen. Nothing much to see here, honestly; the bowl is plastic rather than styrofoam and the noodle load is a bit better than your standard Nissin cup but there wasn't much difference in quality. Take heed of the "spicy" label, though. Quite a kick.
⭐⭐⭐
Maruchan sukiyaki ramen. For those less familiar with Japanese cuisine, sukiyaki is a beef dish with a sweet sauce, and I have to say this bowl did a good job recreating the flavor! The actual freeze-dried meat bits were flavorless, as expected. Pretty good, on balance.
⭐⭐⭐
Mike🌿s Mighty Good vegetable ramen. Gotta be real with you folks; I'm sensing a trend with these "organic noodles" and it's not good. This cup actually had decent enough broth, but the noodles were terrible. Gummy and paper-flavored, they are nonetheless *edible* at least.
⭐
Noodle quality is an especially unforgivable sin for instant ramen because the standard coiled noodle brick is so ubiquitous and cheaper than dirt. If you can't match or exceed that quality, you👏have👏bad👏ramenclap

Remember: Organic labeling is either a scam, or a red flag 🚩
