Lots of us choked up when @Joebiden said, "For America’s educators, this is a great day: You’re going to have one of your own in the White House."
And it got me thinking: Jill Biden is an educator...but Joe Biden is a learner. /1

One of his finest moments in the campaign was when asked about naming a female VP, Joe immediately said yes. Bernie Sanders wouldn't commit. One was stuck in the past, the other understood the past. Joe understood that Hillary Clinton had won the popular vote by a lot. /2
Joe's commitment wasn't just one of gender and--as it turned out--racial uplift. It was a savvy political move. And you can bet Trump is rewriting history today that he wanted to dump Mike Pence for Nikki Haley but Jared/Ivanka/Putin wouldn't let him. /3
In the 90s, Joe did Anita Hill wrong. No doubt about it. But he learned from that mistake. He found redemption in enlightenment. And I predict that @KamalaHarris will be a powerful VP--I mean like Dick Cheney level. /4
One of my favorite quotes ever is from "Inherit the Wind": “All motion is relative. Maybe it's you who've moved away by standing still.”
Too many people plant their feet. Too often, religion supports this inflexibility and even removes questioning which allows for expansion. /5

Joe Biden has always been running--for office, but also to keep pace with culture. He may not be at the forefront of the social justice movement, but he's moving toward it.
