1. I know that there’s a heap of issues nationally around testing; and Track & Trace (or whatever it’s called?) but here’s my experience of the whole thing, for anyone who is interested....

2. Husband needed a test last weekend. Got one (in Leeds) really easily for 8:30am. Test done with no issues at all. Positive result back 22hrs later....
3. Clear information about his isolation (and mine with our daughter), we only needed a test if we developed any symptoms. Emails from the ‘Track & Trace’ system you explain what I had to do and where to get help if I needed it. Isolation note available for if needed...
4. Thursday: I feel ropey and have a sore throat with a weird taste in my mouth. Could be something else (?) but given circumstances, book a test. Get one booked with no issue at all for same test site in Leeds...
5. Turn up, the site operates like a well-oiled machine: efficient, clear info, staff explain things really well and there’s plenty of help available if I need it. Test done and give in around 2:45pm.....
6. 10:20am the next morning, receive negative result.....
7. Phone call today (halfway through isolation) to check I’m ok, see if I have developed any symptoms, see if I need any help, remind me of NHS Volunteers who can help if I need it and check on who I have near to me to talk to e.g. on the phone....
8. The people I’ve talked to and interacted with from all parts of this service have been lovely, helpful and just wonderful.....
9. At a time when the suits seem to be doing not a lot to help - the people on the ground, actually being a part of it, helping out the service users, are working hard and are doing a bloody good job....
10. To everyone working in any aspect of testing; making those phone calls to chat to ppl stuck at home; volunteering to deliver supplies; helping ppl who are going through it - thank you. To me, you have all made a real difference.
