In front the @btsportfootball cameras Brackley managed to hold out Gillingham taking the replay 1-0 thanks to a @gwalks_3 goal

A couple of years later Brackley host Newport County, after some poor reffing/defending Brackley remember what Gillingham did to them and grab a late draw with @curtismcdonald8 scoring his only BTFC goal(??)
There was no replay heroics this time around as Newport punished Brackleys mistakes to comfortably win 4-1 on a cold windy night in South Wales
Brackley once again pulled Gillingham out of the hat only a few seasons after knocking them out. Again Brackley took the lead at Preistfields before being pegged back. Back to SJP for a 2nd televised replay
Cup goal scoring specialist Jimmy Armson's hat trick put the replay beyond Gillingham during extra time to leave Brackley still unbeaten against the Gills in 4 matches and into the 2nd round for the 2nd time
