#Remembrance 2020 (1) 2nd Lt Philip Duncan, 8th London Regt, Killed in Action at Passchendaele on 30 October 1917 after 3 weeks at the front. Previously in a reserved occupation he overcame the system to get into the fight. (My great uncle.)
#Remembrance 2020 (2) Frank Fisher, Merchant Navy, Killed in Action on 12 March 1943 when his ship the BARON KINNAIRD was sunk by a German u-boat in the Atlantic. U-621 took 10 torpedoes & 20mm gunfire to sink the ship. He was the nephew of Philip Duncan (above). (My cousin.)
#Remembrance 2020 (3) Captain Robert Nairac GC, Grenadier Guards, was abducted, tortured & Killed in Action by the IRA in South Armagh Northern Ireland on 15 May 1977. The whereabouts of his remains are unknown as IRA continue to refuse to reveal them.
#Remembrance 2020 (4) Major Andrew French MBE, 2nd Royal Anglian Regt, Killed in Action by an IRA remote controlled improvised bomb while on patrol in South Armagh Northern Ireland on 22 May 1986, together with two RUC GC officers, Constables Lawrence Smith and David McBride.
#Remembrance 2020 (5) Private Mitchell “Geordie” Bertram, 2nd Royal Anglian Regt, Killed in Action by an IRA vehicle bomb while manning an observation post in South Armagh on 9 July 1986. Private Carl Davis (below) was killed with him.

#Remembrance 2020 (8) Captain Steve Wormald, 2nd Royal Anglian Regt & UNPROFOR, Killed in Action near Gornji Vakuf Bosnia when his Land Rover hit an anti-tank mine on 29 April 1994.
#Remembrance 2020 (9) Corporal Darren Bonner, 1st Royal Anglian Regt, was Killed in Action in Helmand Afghanistan when his Viking armoured vehicle hit an anti-tank mine on 28 May 2007.
