Perfectly compatible to think that

1. Covid-19 is very real makes some people sick for weeks hospitalises or kills them (including NHS/Care Staff)

2. The government's policy/comms response has been inept confused and confusing

You don't need to trash #1 to accept #2
and vast majority of expert consensus among infectious diseases/virology/outbreak medicine/health protection community always WAS in favour of precautions/behaviour change targeted testing, tracing, isolation, local public health & NEVER pushed lockdown as THE key approach
the lockdowns and circuit breakers in Spring in Europe were in the face of overwhelming surges and now in the autumn are a workaround/sticking plaster precisely because we failed to do what the expert community from WHO downwards always said we should as optimal approach
So the "this is serious and has to be taken seriously" and "this is all a scamdemic, hoax, plandemic" merchants actually have more in common than they think - the concern over lockdowns, economy, jobs, mental health, impact on healthcare for people with non-covid conditions
and both sides have concerns about poor pandemic preparedness, lack of transparency and clarity in communications and rationale, testing programmes etc. But that is where the common ground ends
