In total 84 Contracts awarded with a minimum value of £1.118 billion and a maximum of £1.130 billion. Spread across 47 different businesses.
There profit prayers were answered.
A lot of the local council contracts did go to the smaller companies who have a track record of supplying PPE in some format.

What I dont understand is the big DHSC contracts particularly Unispace & Inivos as well as Clandeboye, Medco Solutions, Toffeln, Ascot Signs
In total these 6 businesses won contracts worth £1 billion for supply of PPE to the DHSC and none of them were in the PPE market from what I can find previously.

Unispace £680 mill
Inivos £126 mill
Clandeboye £107 mill
Medco £84 mill
Toffeln £4 mill
Ascot £2.2 mill
A management response
"One point I would like to clarify though is that Unispace is not owned, or run by a Church group. Unispace is privately owned and whilst recognising that the founders met through their church 12 years ago, the business has nothing to do with the church"
Need to add another 5 mill in for Unispace that I missed from Manchester NHS trust
