A transgender person doesnt simply prefer to be another gender by 'choice'. There is a biological, neurophysiological and neuropsychological drive to identify as a gender other than the one assigned at birth. This drive alone is evidence for the biological basis of gender.
Despite a society supposedly 'imposing' gender norms on a male that male may STILL identify as a female. Why? Because gender is a social construct? NO. Because there is a neurophysiological drive in that male to identify as a female DESPITE what that SOCIETY says.
If it were a social construct every male would identify as male. But many biological factors (including EPIGENETIC factors) can affect gender identification. Gender identification in most cases IS NOT ARBITRARY. It can be BIOLOGICALLY DRIVEN.
In MOST CASES. some people have no drive to identify either way this ALSO has biological (and epigenetic) basis.
