- especially in their lose quote comment they are extremely reluctant to return to being sealed, and their chu necklace reaction is like. Well it's very different from everyone else's since it seems like they're more distressed than embarrassed by the memory of being sealed
For the battle theme comment they do say something about feeling the same pain/anguish they felt from being sealed in a book, so like, this is why I interpret them as a Villain but with like...an actual motivation bc obviously they've suffered a lot based on that line
this isn't even getting into how the like, actual record of sealing talks about how they were sealed by humans who
1) did not know them
2) had never met them
3) only sealed them because they thought it would be funny and because Aya's original form looked scary

anyway this is just me rambling but people always say they don't know much about Aya, i guess this is half an informative post and half me finding an excuse to infodump since a lot of people just see them as an extension of Klug when they are like....their own individual
also I used pictures from my DS instead of like transcripts online because i don't want to sound Crazy. there's some transcripts I have seen but nothing for the library comments? (they're all very cute though i love how the characters talk about their spells)
Anyway Aya didn't do anything to deserve being sealed outside of being a demon. Unless you ascribe to the theory that Aya was the lord of ta-toon-da castle and the one who declared war on the surrounding area but i don't think there's much evidence for this idea?
at the least both Popoi and Aya are like. equally likely to have been the lord of ta-toon-da. Aya is def more connected to Arca tho considering the emblems on their ....sealing tag thing matching up with a couple Arca symbols, and Popoi *was* the boss of ta-toon-da in fever. so.

though if you think about it Aya could have the same emblem associated with Arca because they were sealed by someone from there/the record of sealing is literally dedicated to the people of Arca blah blah blah blah blah (THE PERSON WRITING THIS IS MENTALLY UNWELL)
