This was going to be a silly fun post dedicated to

I had someone comment on one of my posts that they didn't like how Type kept saying+
no to Tharn during their dishwashing scene. That it didn't sit well with them. They are of course completely entitled to that opinion, but I wanted to point out something about Type's character and relationships in general.

playful with each other. Sometimes part of the fun is getting your partner in the mood when they are busy. It's a game, something exciting. Playful. Loving. Teasing.

different than coercion in the context of a long-lasting loving relationship as long as they have both agreed to it. Ofc, no means no in general. But we have to understand that if they've been dating for 7 years they've talked about boundaries before. They know eo well. Their+
moods. Their microexpressions. When no means no and when it's open to flirting. This is all based squarely on trust and communication, not just some random romantic fling.

says no and actually means it, Tharn ends up on the floor. He gets chewed out. Type is having none of it. He isn't shy to make that no very concrete.
The no in the kitchen was playful and maybe a bit tired but open to flirtation.

know their boundaries, we shouldn't judge.
I personally have certain keywords like "I'm serious" to indicate when no is no. Some people who get more into a certain lifestyle may even have a safe word, for example.
The key is trust and respect when in a long-term relationship.

I know this is a touchy subject, so please know that I don't condone anyone disregarding a no. I'm purely discussing what it can mean in a trusting relationship with discussed boundaries, with someone you trust implicitly. Not a casual date or fling.+
I'm merely reminding us to keep an open mind and not take TT down the path of questionable consent. At least not at this point since it's only episode 1 so far. I know there were some issues in s1, but let's at least keep an open mind for now until we are given+
a reason to disapprove.
Lastly, something to keep in mind is that sometimes we do things for the other person in relationships to make them happy. We should always say no if we don't feel comfortable. But, it's normal to sometimes push past being tired or not in the mood just+

because you want to please the person you love (as long as it doesn't make you feel bad.)

Granted, they have some problems to work through still like differing opinions on marriage, a situation of jealousy, etc. But in general, I can't wait to see how it all unfolds. ♡
