I've been covering @RussFulcher for a long time and this post comes with all due respect, but I can't just retweet it without acknowledging what the words say. Too often, we share statements because of the difficulty of interviews, but statements don't allow for follow-ups https://twitter.com/RussFulcher/status/1324866530715136000
"There are tabulation locations where legally authorized republican poll-watchers have been denied oversight and allegations of 'newly found' ballots"

This is not true. The allegation has already been thrown out of court and the President's own legal team admitted it wasn't true
As for "newly found ballots", this is a very serious allegation and I'd expect to see this to end up in courts as well. But if we're accusing people of voter fraud, it's incumbent to ask those making the accusations to show us the evidence. I know newsrooms would be interested.
"Media activity -- seemingly more interested in declaring a Biden victory than identifying all the facts -- only complicate the matter"
I get it, journalists are an easy target right now, but this is demonstrably false. The race and these states have not been called precisely because diligent and dedicated journalists are working hard to make sure the decisions are made in the most responsible and deliberate way.
They deserve respect and admiration right now, but instead they're receiving more grief. That's not fair and someone should be willing to say so. I consider Rep. Fulcher a friend. He has my number. If he has issues with journalists, I'd encourage him to reach out.
What I can tell you is that journalists are being walked to their cars because they feel their lives are in danger. They're working days-long shifts to cover this story in the most dedicated and correct way they can.
Where is the condemnation of the people police have accused of showing up to voting centers with intent to shoot, to kill and to stop ballot-counting?
I have to talk to our team of reporters about keeping their heads on a swivel because of death threats. We don't allow one-man coverage of these events because of dangers. These are people serving the public, not the enemy, Congressman.
This isn't about bias. This isn't about GOP vs. Democrat. But to say our democracy hangs in the balance while repeating claims without evidence and without calls for peace and calm, that's exacerbating the problem.
Our newsroom as well as all the other dedicated journalists on the ground in these states will continue to work to report without bias. Please stop telling us we're part of the problem.
