We want to alert you to a FALSE social media post and text message circulating, seemingly with the intention to generate suspicion and fear among people of color. The message warns of violence from white nationalist groups this weekend.
This post has circulated around the country and appears to come from the NAACP. The message is FALSE and was not posted or texted by the NAACP, nor have they received any credible threats.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety has not received any credible or specific information about white nationalist groups committing violence this weekend in Minnesota.

We join the NAACP in asking you not to post, tweet or share the FALSE information.
