Here's the fantastic news. Anyone has the power to stop being a fascist at any time. Like right now! It's not a permanent label. It's not an inherent trait. It's defined by one's actions.
You aren't stuck with those people just because you wore a frog pin or voted for someone you no longer support. You can walk away at any time. And that label drops the minute you start doing the work to repair the harm you've caused.
But (and this is the "but" that freezes so many in fear) you need to be honest about what you were and the fact that it DID harm people. You can never address what you won't acknowledge.
