Indiana Democrats and Marion County Democrats

Now that the election is over .... is it ok to have those difficult conversations about what your leadership has prioritized and the cost of their actions......

I'm sure I'm going to ruffle some feathers

I know some of y'all worked hard this year ....but thanks to decisions, inaction, and/or agreements

Things weren't good as they could have been

As the local Democratic party prioritizes loyalty to the party over everything else

The ball gets dropped on messaging that WORKS and early and election day voting locations as compared to the surrounding counties

And candidates that are passionate civic leaders

Rather than PARTNERING with existing civic leaders the party prioritizes ppl it can MAKE

Then sends them off to get slaughtered in a general election

Then complains the COMMUNITY didn't vote for them

even tho it wasn't enough polling places if they had

now before somebody hops in my mentions to get upset or starts subbing political threats

I don't ever wanna run

I refuse to have my VOICE curtailed by a party

But there are a lot of community leaders that would PARTNER with y'all .. if y'all were less controlling

And what I and many others in Black community consider is as Blue racism.

Sure some of y'all progressive but actions speak louder than words and some of the Black leaders y'all push to speak for the party are only listened to by Boomers and Gen X'ers

They're in the twilight of their influence... The Black Church isn't as influential over Black society as it once was

Just something to consider

The State House Republicans spend 1/2 their time plotting NEW ways to usurp the authority of Marion County Democrats because Indiana Democrats are so insular they can't even challenge Republicans cause they're to busy beating progressives to toe the line

We've got RACIST Republicans in the General Assembly with districts in Marion county

I've spent more time at the State House fighting against their racism than I'd like

Please get it together Democrat leadership

Marion County Democrats have a chance to make up lost ground on fighting racism and inequity with all this money y'all about to get from the Biden administration

To be clear y'all perpetuated a lot of it ... but you're being given an opportunity to change things

Marion County Democrats are going to have a chance to help fix some of the problems they've blamed SOLELY on Republicans ...knowing they danced together on making them worse.
