Let's see who's playing well and who is not and see if we can see some outliers or breakout candidates.

In case you missed weeks 1-7! https://twitter.com/NickDynastyff/status/1321534372600827907?s=20
Before we start let's clarify 3 of the important glossary terms and meanings;
YBC/Att - Rushing yards before contact per rushing attempt (this helps to indicate how the oline is performing)
YAC/Att - Rushing yards after contact per rush
Att/Br Rush attempts per broken tackle
YBC/Att - Rushing yards before contact per rushing attempt (this helps to indicate how the oline is performing)
YAC/Att - Rushing yards after contact per rush
Att/Br Rush attempts per broken tackle
I'll continue with last week's new stat of the % RB's are facing 8 defenders in the box (8+D%)
These rankings are for those with min 45 attempts

Elite. Elite. Elite.
Not a whole lot more to say other than the only thing that is likely holding Dalvin Cook back from seeing his dynasty ADP in the top 5 is the questions around health and durability.

His numbers above are insane. Facing 8 man fronts over 25% of the time yet in the top group of RB’s in broken tackle rate and YAC with the 5th most rush attempts on the season?
My goodness.

I’ve written at length regarding Jonathan Taylor’s abysmal advanced metrics, his poor film and I even suggested last week that JT is a sell at his current ADP. https://twitter.com/NickDynastyff/status/1323356864281759746?s=20
Wilkins has looked pretty good when given an opportunity in the Colts backfield. It appears opposing defenses are not fooled once Wilkins enters the game and are expecting the run given his 1.4 YBC and 48th ranking. He is also facing 8 man fronts over 22% of the time.
But Wilkins metrically is beginning to really shine as given by his 8th overall broken tackle rate and 16th in YAC. Those numbers are significantly better than Taylor who ranks near the bottom in both advanced metrics.
My suggestion is to immediately pick up Wilkins while you still can if available. The Colts backfield is about to get interesting I think.
Damien Harris

While Harris avg looks nice on paper, that’s where the positives end. The Patriots oline is providing some good running lanes as evidenced by the YBC, but the YAC and broken tackle rate for Harris are both abysmal. Harris is facing the most stacked boxes in the NFL...
....but the Patriots anemic passing game likely explains this.
Harris appears to be a replacement level RB based on metrics and the always confusing weekly Patriots RB usage only clouds this situation. I suggest moving on from Harris if there is interest in your league.

Ronald Jones has previously been in this weekly thread but I’ve decided to include him again. His numbers on the year are pretty darn solid and he's looking great on the field as well.
Not only is Rojo outperforming Fournette on the field and with his advanced rushing...
Not only is Rojo outperforming Fournette on the field and with his advanced rushing...
but Rojo also comes with a much cheaper ADP cost. Fournette has an Oct ADP of RB 21 and 51 overall while Rojo has an ADP of RB35 and 101 overall. That’s absurd to me given their production and the likelihood...
...that Fournette walks in the offseason handing over the entire Bucs backfield to Rojo in 2021.
I suggest attempting to acquire Ronald Jones now while his cost is still very low.

Apologies about the delay this week I was pretty busy!
I hope you all enjoyed this thread and see you next Wednesday with a new group of RB's to assess and evaluate!
Take care!
