I realize most people have never seen how ballots are processed. This is what happens when a ballot won’t scan for some reason, usually it is damaged in the mail. 2 ppl are required to work in each ballot. One reads while the other marks. Typically the one marking then re-states which name they marked. There is a rhythm to it.

In most states ballot must then be checked by a 3rd person. This person is usually an official, not a volunteer

Both the damaged ballot and duplicate ballot are then set aside. When the duplicates are run through the machine, the tallies are once again verified against the original ballots to make sure there wasn’t any errors made.

All of this is done in front of official observers from both parties. It is an open and transparent process.

It isn’t fraud. It is literally just what is done to make sure that every vote is counted accurately and fairly.
