ICYMI, yesterday:
-Bannon called for the beheading of FBI Director Wray & Dr. Fauci.
-A top Trump ally said “we’re getting ready to start shooting” liberals.
-Seb Gorka called for US Marshalls to break down the doors of polling places & arrest poll workers.
-The NRA is loving it.

The talk/threats of violence from prominent members of Trump’s inner circle came just as hoards of Trump supporters, some of whom were armed, showed up at polling places around the country to issue various demands about counting (or not) everyone’s vote.

Also this week, Trump supporters started floating the idea of having GOP state legislatures go rogue and appoint their own electors, who would then be tasked with ignoring election results and handing the states (& their electoral college votes) to Trump, whether or not he won.

So yes, we got through Election Day, & we’re making our way through the process of counting votes. But now, I think we need to prepare ourselves for what may be an unprecedented attack on our democracy, coming from the president, his allies, and the govt agencies that comply.

I’m not trying to be hyperbolic or scare anyone; I just don’t think now is the time to let our guards down. On top of everything else, we’re in the middle of a global pandemic, which gives Trump the ability to use & abuse very broad emergency powers. I’m assuming he will do so.
