In June, I was FINALLY (after years) able to admit I that am powerless over alcohol
Since, I've been learning about addiction, navigating recovery and helping other addicts in their own recovery
Here's what I have learned that can help you (if you are struggling)

Here's what I have learned that can help you (if you are struggling)

For someone to be successful (long-term) in their recovery, they need at least 1 of these 4 things:
1. God, or a spiritual awakening.
You HAVE to believe in a higher power - whatever that may be for you - in order to recover. You simply cannot do this under your own power.

2. Community
You CANNOT recover alone. I've created my own recovery network of peers and not a single one has had any level of sustained success doing this alone. Nor do they know anyone else that has.
Support from other addicts is REQUIRED.

3. A "WHY"
A deeply-rooted (not surface level) reason to get sober and free yourself from active addiction. Until you can answer this, you will continue to relapse.

4. A Purpose
Once I learned purpose is something you intentionally CREATE - not "find" - I was able to start living a fulfilled life.
My purpose is to help other addicts navigate recovery, reframe "addiction" and create their own purpose so they can live an addiction-free life.

bc I think the great majority of people that struggle with addiction are EXTROARDINARY
but their gifts remain locked away in their own head where they cannot access them until they are FREE
My purpose is to help you unlock that
