The left wing case against a Biden candidacy was that he wouldn't be able to motivate the Democrat base, but he won a record number of votes.
And Biden looks like he got votes from people who otherwise voted GOP (who generally did well).
Trump would've beaten Sanders or Warren.
And without the fear of socialism, the Democrats could have won Florida and North Carolina (and maybe Texas and Ohio).
And those arguing that it was Trump who motivated the Democrat voters, absolutely. Biden made it a referendum on Trump and won. Other candidates would have allowed Trump to make it a referendum about the Left - socialism, defund the police etc. Trump would've won that.
