the difference is that in a dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, we conclude that a person is serious and responsible if they own property; in a dictatorship of the proletariat, we conclude that a person is serious and responsible if they have a record of ably serving the people
the idea of the party is to supplant property ownership/wealth by some other criterion for merit
that is, shifting the proving ground *from* the market *to* a directly interpersonal sphere in which people are actually accountable, known to each other in their specificity, etc.
