Today's a great day to set up some recurring donations (a predictable monthly gift is better for their budget planning than a single donation, if you can swing it!) to grassroots organizations working every day, and every year, for progress. I'll list some of mine below.
I've supported @runforsomething with monthly gifts for 4 years. They're building the progressive bench and fielding candidates for state and local office all over the US. Here's a list of some of their wins this November: https://rfsfeelgoodupdates.substack.com/p/rfs-feel-good-update-115-177-bright
I've supported @SpreadTheVoteUS since their founding (and also convinced my employer to add them to our list of nonprofits who receive the company's charitable giving!). They get IDs for folks who live in voter ID states. They're changing the electorate and changing lives.
. @bailproject is organizing to end cash bail, but while that's still in progress they will use your gift to provide free bail assistance in cities all over the US and get people out of cages.
. @NationalBailOut is another bail fund that will put your money to immediate good use. You may know them from the #FreeBlackMamas campaigns they run for Mother's Day each year, but they could use your year-round support.
I went ahead and set up recurring gifts to @NewGAProject because they are getting stuff done in our newest swing state and they need your continuing support in the lead-up to the January runoffs (and every election after that).
I support @propublica because independent investigative journalism matters. They stay on top of the biggest national news AND they keep grinding out stories that dig deep into the issues even when they don't make for good clickbait headlines: https://www.propublica.org/topics/
The work to protect and expand voting rights continues - it's never a bad time to support @fairfightaction. This election proves that every vote matters, but it wasn't easy to get here. Let's help them keep up the good work.
