THREAD: Here's how a Presidential Transition would work, if applicable:
1) Official Transition office space has opened at 1401 Constitution Ave NW in DC. US Secret Service provides security

2) US Secret Services & US General Services Administration will process and administer badges to those who are permitted to access the office space
3) US General Services Administration will set-up and operate a "resume-intake" system -- and turn over management of the system to the Executive Office of the President on Inauguration Day
4) Congress has appropriated $9.9 million to pay for transition process and services
5) Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency can conduct background investigations for lower level positions as needed.
6) National Archives has been holding regular meetings with the White House Counsel’s Office on records issues relating to the transition. As is required.
7) US Office of Personnel Management is creating the PLUM BOOK - which contains a listing of all general Senior Executive Service positions in Executive branch
8) Office of Government Ethics has created a "transition guide" -- which is a resource to prepare Presidential Transition Teams to fill top leadership positions quickly and free from conflicts of interest
....All of this is overseen and administered by a career civil servant with the US General Services Administration -- named Mary. She's the "Federal Transition Coordinator"
