that's the difference. Politicians who people believe in can raise money for small donors, can win races powered by people. Politicians who depend primarily on large donors, on pac's, on corporations, will always sell you the same lines because they don't represent you!

small donors aren't everything, but they're a good sign of the capacity to build organic support. Politicians like Spanberger, former CIA, are cultivated by the donor class, not by the working class. they whine because they have no idea how to really fight for people.

they have no idea how to run and win people powered campaigns. they only know astorturf. they only know big donors, big money. of those that struggle to win and of those that lose, the reality is nobody believes in these motherfuckers, it's that simple.

there's a huge difference between politicians that are getting around half or more of their support from small donors to a clear majority, and those who struggle to clear 20 percent, sometimes 15, sometimes 10 in small donor support. They don't represent you!

if i was a politician who got less than 5% of my money from small donors, I too would be strongly urging everyone to forget about medicare for all.
