maybe if we had gone from obama to biden, the “nothing will change” line would hit different. but we’ve been suffering constant attacks from the literal president of the united states for four years. it has taken its toll in many ways. after january, THAT changes. and it matters.
you’ve got lint floating around your otherwise empty skull if you well and truly believe that we’re not better off with joe biden than donald trump simply because joe biden doesn’t fulfill your socialist fantasies. that’s not even an insult (well, yes it is) it’s just a fact.
trump out. pence out. miller out. racist, homophobic, xenophobic rhetoric and back room plans. out. crime syndicate family out. we have so much work to do and i am not ignorant of that fact, but we will be better off soon than we are now.
it’s just patently false to assert that “nothing” changes after this. it’s obnoxious and gross, as well as, again, false, to assert that nobody will be better off under joe biden. i’m sick of seeing people (especially white citizens) say this.
joe biden wasn’t my first, second, or even third choice. i criticize the democratic party DAILY. but i do not and will not buy the line that things won’t get better for a lot of us soon. they will. and we continue to fight for progress. this is just the start.
