There's already so much negative messaging about DS. Families' groups have been pushing back & having some success in raising awareness of the joy children with DS bring into their families and communities, how much they enjoy their own lives, etc. Persuading the NHS to... 1/x
...replace the insidious language of 'risk' with language of 'chance', etc. In the face of this huge effort & the beginnings of progress, it just feels like entirely the wrong time for @emmerdale to run a doom & gloom storyline about DS. 2/3
