/ My @goodandprosper Newsletter is just out: What the 5% know 🔑 - https://mailchi.mp/b4f931a2e733/what-the-5-know and is dedicated to my harvest from the Money Revealed 2020 documentary series. Here is a summary of my top 10 takeaways from 26 amazing conversations:
/ 1. Everyone irrespective of their starting point, personal situation and financial status can achieve financial liberation and wealth;
/ 2. The most important factor determining whether or not you do is the right mindset and personal commitment (percentages mentioned were between 50% and 95% in determining the outcome and btw everyone of the interviewees confided that investing in their…
/ …personal development was still their number one priority);
/ 3. Financial literacy can be learned and needs to be.
/ Many of the entrepreneurs admitted that they had little to no knowledge about money when they started or even quite far into the game and that it took a while to realise that most what they thought they knew was just plain wrong and holding them back;
/ 4. All agreed that not teaching children about money and finance during their formal education was probably the largest contributor to later unhappiness and lack of abundance and in the words of one “a crime against humanity”;
/ 5. Understanding the tax code and learning how to use it to your advantage is one of the most underused advantages that are available to everyone and can be fun when you have grasped the basic principles;
/ 6. The emergence of the internet and digital technology is the single largest opportunity for everyone to engage in the wealth creation process in the history of mankind and we are just at the beginning of discovering what is possible;
/ 7. Pretty much every one of the entrepreneurs profiled is still fully “in service” to their customers, irrespective of how much wealth they may have created for themselves.
/ Ron Philips of RPC, Carl Allen, Alan Akino, Jeff Walker, Andy Tanner, Ryan Moran and Marco Santorelli were conspicuous in that regard: their enthusiasm for teaching other people what they knew and helping others achieve success in their home territory (real estate, smb…
/ …investing, building a digital product, investing intelligently) was evident and burning strongly;
/ 8. Every one of the interviewees was quite clear that our free-market economy, freedom of choice and freedom of self-determination are the foundational values that make wealth creation possible but that too few people are educated properly to understand and benefit…
/ …from the system. Almost every one of them knew that they had had to figure out how the world works by themselves and recognised equally that it could have been taught at a fraction of the personal cost in anguish and failure. Which is why most of them do teach;
/ 9. Most of them pointed to a few books that had been instrumental in shaping their thinking: a shortlist of the most frequently mentioned is
/ - Think & Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill

- The Richest Man in Babylon -George Clason

- Rich Dad Poor Dad - Robert Kiyosaki

- Millionaire Real Estate Investor - Gary Keller

- How to Win Friends & Influence People - Dale Carnegie
/ (Surprisingly - or not - over half the books mentioned were all written well over 70 years ago and all of them last century);
/ 10. Service is the key to everything. Each of the entrepreneurs interviewed became glassy-eyed when talking about the transformation that they had been able to affect in other peoples lives.
/ They were deeply appreciative of the benefits and freedoms that their wealth enabled them and their families to enjoy, but their energy was unmistakably linked to the well-being and transformation that they had witnessed in their customers and clients.
/ Across the board and without exception.
