There is a local campaign that is STRUGGLING bc when they were faced with the chance to either lean into the defund movement and engage an entirely different base, they distanced themselves from it to appeal to the moderates.

Y’all keep selling your soul then wonder why you lose
Not to mention there are people in the defund movement that have previously worked campaigns that tried to name this explicitly but went unheard. So you can’t expect people you are publicly trying to distance yourselves from to feel inclined to help you lol
Just remember when you inevitably do not reach your goal, it has nothing to do with the defund movement and everything to do with you trying to appeal to communities that don’t give a fuck about you
