Tbh I think it’s in poor taste to rant and vent about your clients/customers on your business page. I see a lot of young small business owners do that esp the ones that provide a service like hair stylists, nail techs, video/photographers
It’s just not professional and I feel like there’s a better way to get your point across without sounding like you’re yelling at your customers.
When I’m looking to buy from someone or hire someone, text posts like that turn me off and I move on to someone else.

As a videographer, I see other videographers do it A LOT. Other shooters be going off on their IG stories and while they be validly upset, it’s just.. phew just not a good look. Lol.
You want to attract QUALITY clients/customers. Putting your current customers on blast is not going to help you draw in your target audience. In fact, it’s going to push them away including your current clients.
For example, some of the hairstylists I follow are always posting about people being late to appointments on their IG feeds and it’s soooo nasty. They say stuff like:
“I DONT HAVE ALL DAY. Show up to your appointment on time or catch this late fee”
Like??
no ma’am delete
“I DONT HAVE ALL DAY. Show up to your appointment on time or catch this late fee”

Instead they could’ve said:
“Hi! Please be sure to arrive to your appointments on time. I want to be able to provide quality, full service for you and by being prompt, it gives me all the time I need to give you that poppin hairstyle you booked me for!”
“Hi! Please be sure to arrive to your appointments on time. I want to be able to provide quality, full service for you and by being prompt, it gives me all the time I need to give you that poppin hairstyle you booked me for!”
See. Like you’re telling them “bitch be on time” but in a warm, professional way and you’re giving the *why*. Giving the *why* behind your policies is so key bc it helps clients understand the importance and purpose.
I find that when they know the why, they usually comply or in my case, as a videographer, they leave you alone to work on the project.
“Why does it take two weeks to get a video from you?”
“I shoot for other clients and quality videos take time to edit.”

Like I’m sorry but yeah, you have to be nice to the people paying you as an entrepreneur
ppl annoying but you still want to maintain some sense of professionalism.
